The Adams Rite 4500 Series Standard Duty Deadlatch is a commercial electronic device designed for buildings that require flexible traffic control. The latch faceplate dimensions are 1" x 6-7/8", with an overall dimension of 2-1/4" x 6-13/16". It has a standard mortised strike with a strike dimension of 4-5/8" and a backset of 1-1/8". The door range is 1-3/4" and the door thickness is also 1-3/4". This left-hand handing deadlatch is made of steel with a dark bronze anodized finish (Finish Code: 313). It is suitable for use with deadlatches and comes with a limited 5-year manufacturer warranty. While it does not provide the same maximum security as an MS deadlock, it is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service.
